A prequel to the original Dune, it tells how the Sisterhood of Rossak evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident in which Valya Harkonnen uses her voice comes from an episode titled “Mentats of Dune.” All three books weave together the evolution of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk doctors. I find it pretty stupid how many people complain about this show after a decent pilot.

The quality was fine

I would give the first episode a 7.6. It wasn’t a masterpiece, but it definitely wasn’t as bad as so many of these stupid critics say. NO, it’s not like Sex and the City.

Let a few more episodes come out first, damn it!

And YES, the Benne Ghesserit’s whole mission is to manipulate bloodlines in politics. That’s said in both the movies and the books, so what are you people talking about giving it 1-5 stars? Stop rating the show so extremely after just one episode.
